Theodore Wolashie Awadzi aka Theo is the founder of Dance-Drive (Dancecity) and the Oslo Kizomba Festival. He is a former IDO Kizomba Champion as well as a former UKA Professional Level Salsa Dance Champion.
His excellent teaching style and fun workshops have resulted in extensive travel around the world, teaching at congresses and festivals representing both Norway and Ghana.
In between travels he is based in Oslo, Norway where he has established the Kizomba scene over the past few years.. With roots from the West African Country of Ghana, Theo’s dancing and teaching love is not limited to Kizomba, but extends to Semba, Afro-house, Kuduro, Tarraxinha and Salsa.
Since moving to Oslo Theodore has established the biggest African Dance School in Oslo teaching various African dance cultures and styles., starting with only 5 students, Dancecity now boast of close to 150 students and aside from providing a place for teaching African culture he has single handed also used his own funds to lease a premise in the heart of Oslo where other small schools who currently have no funds to get a place of their own can rent at low prices to have their dance classes. He currently hosts 12 different schools at Dancecity.
